A patient moving through a physician-led full body check-up at AION, from arrival to results review

The full body check-up, for people done with guessing

Almost nobody books a full check-up because something hurts. You book it because of a thought you have carried quietly for a while, and the answer to it is not a fixed test package with a PDF at the end. It is a check-up scoped by a physician to your history, your age and your risk, with every result explained to you in person.

  • I feel fine, but my father felt fine too, right up until he didn't.
  • I have not had a proper look under the hood in a decade.
  • Heart disease runs in my family, and I am now the age it started.
  • I would rather spend a day finding out than a year wondering.

A check-up cannot promise nothing is wrong. What it can do is end the guessing, and it starts with a free call.

Starts with an online physician consultation, not a test menu

Scoped to your history, age and risk, not a fixed package

Every result explained to you in person

What a full body check-up can include

There is no standard list, because there is no standard patient. After your consultation, your physician builds your check-up from AION's diagnostic domains, choosing what your case actually calls for:

  • Cardiovascular and biological age testing
  • Cellular, mitochondrial and gut health panels
  • Functional, hormonal and cognitive testing
  • Imaging, cancer screening pathways and laboratory medicine
  • Physician consultations before any testing and after every result

How the check-up works

Three steps, each one shaping the next.

1

Online consultation

You speak with a physician first, from wherever you are. They go through your history, lifestyle, family risk and anything that worries you, then decide which diagnostics your check-up should actually include.

2

Testing in Limassol

Your diagnostics run at the clinic: labs, imaging and functional testing coordinated by one team, scheduled the way your physician planned them rather than scattered across separate providers.

3

Review

Once everything is back, your physician reviews the complete picture and sits down with you to go through it, in person and in plain language.

One physician reads the whole picture

A stack of results is not the same as an answer. At AION, your results are not sent to you as separate reports from separate departments. A physician reads everything together, your labs against your imaging, your hormones against your history, and brings in specialist colleagues where a finding calls for it. What reaches you is one coherent read of your health, not a pile of PDFs to decode alone.

What you leave with

The check-up ends with a conversation, not a download link. Your physician goes through every result with you: what is fine, what needs attention, and what to do about it.

  • A plain-language explanation of every result
  • A written plan, ranked by what matters most for you
  • A baseline that your future results are measured against
  • A recheck schedule, so change is caught early rather than noticed late

Questions about the full body check-up

At AION, it depends on you. A physician consultation always comes first, and it determines which diagnostic domains your check-up draws on: cardiovascular and biological age testing, cellular, mitochondrial and gut health, functional, hormonal and cognitive testing, and imaging, cancer screening and laboratory medicine. Not every domain applies to every patient.

It is the common UK phrase for a comprehensive health check, borrowed from the annual MOT test a car has to pass. The idea is the same: a scheduled, thorough look at how everything is working before something fails. AION's version differs from most in one way, a physician decides what your check-up should include based on your history and risk, rather than running the same fixed package on everyone.

Usually not on its own. Whole-body MRI without a clinical question tends to surface incidental findings that cause worry and follow-up procedures without making you healthier. Imaging earns its place when a physician has a reason to order it. At AION, MRI and other imaging are included where your history, age or risk factors support them, and read alongside everything else, not in isolation.

There is no fixed menu price, because the check-up is scoped to you, not sold as a package. Your physician sets the plan and the cost during your consultation, before anything is booked, so you know exactly what you are paying for and there are no surprise add-ons after the fact.

The NHS Health Check is a useful basic screen: blood pressure, a cholesterol test, BMI and an estimate of your cardiovascular and diabetes risk, offered every five years between 40 and 74. Once you live outside the UK, you generally lose access to it. A comprehensive physician-led check-up covers those basics and goes considerably further, adding imaging, cancer screening, and hormonal and functional testing where relevant, with a physician explaining every result in person rather than a letter in the post.

It starts with an online consultation, not a testing appointment. A physician goes through your history and concerns first, then builds your check-up around what they find. That order matters: it is the difference between a package of tests and a check-up that is actually about you.

One free call. You leave knowing whether AION fits your case, what it would involve, and what it costs. If the honest answer is no, you hear that too, and it costs you nothing to hear it.
